Sonatest Group

The Sonatest Group leads its American, European and Japanese competitors in the design and manufacture of Non-Destructive Testing equipment. Our customer base covers a wide range of industries globally. This diversity is evident in the range of applications in which our products used from the testing of oil pipelines, railway infrastructures, manufacturing through to aerospace components - our customers rely on our innovative products to ensure structural integrity.

SONATEST LTD

from our UK based HQ, design and manufacture a wide range of high performance ultrasonic equipment and NDT accessories. Via Sonatest's Research and Design team cutting edge technologies are employed in our range of non-destructive testing equipment. The Sonatest range of portable digital ultrasonic flaw detectors has a reputation for quality, reliability, high performance and exceptional value. The range starts with low cost basic products for corrosion measurement and weld inspection through to high-end performance models for more demanding applications such as aerospace. Our thickness meters also range from low cost to high performance models, including two A-scan display units. To compliment our instruments Sonatest manufactures a complete range of ultrasonic transducers and can offer special transducer types to suit individual applications.

Sonatest also partners many industry leaders to deliver a wide range of high performance field scanning systems, such as the C1 Spider and Inspection Solutions Thetascan or ANDSCAN.

SONATEST INC

San Antonio Texas, provides transducer manufacturing/sales and a marketing base for distributors in North America. During 2001 Sonatest Inc. has expanded staffing and premises and become responsible for Sonatest/Balteau NDT sales in Latin American markets.

BALTEAU NDT S.A

Belgium, is the world's leading supplier of portable X-Ray generators. More than 12.000 units are used worldwide.Balteau NDT With its range of high power or light-weight constant potential X-Ray generators, gas insulated, BALTEAU NDT is a specialist in manual and automatic systems for radiography and radioscopy (RTR). Many different industrial inspection systems have been installed and are now used in a variety of fields including automobile, aeronautic, cables manufacturer, casting work, gas bottle manufacturers, pipe manufacturers and shell dismantling amongst others.

DAKOTA ULTRASONICS CORPORATION

based in Santa Cruz, California, manufactures industrial ultrasonic testing equipment commonly used in theDakota Ultrasonics petrochemical, aerospace, automotive, amongst other industries. Our products are used to determine the thickness of a variety of materials by making contact with only one side of the material being tested, having the ability to detect very fine pits, flaws, and porosity in materials without having to destroy the material or parts being tested. Dakota also manufacture ultrasonic bolting equipment that very accurately measures the stress, elongation, and load in threaded fasteners. These products are typically used in critical bolting applications where extreme accuracy is needed.

ATLANTIS NDE

is a joint venture between Sonatest Ltd and the Spanish company Tecnitest. Combining their expertise the venture will take advantage of Sonatest’s world-leading NDT instrumentation and Tecnitest’s proven abilities in mechanical andAtlantis software design and systems integration. The focus will be on creating engineering solutions for specific NDT applications in automotive, aerospace and petro-chemical industries.

As part of on-going development in the world of NDT SONATEST are involved in various developmental projects focussing on new applications and techniques. These projects and concurrent internal developments will result in even more innovative products in the future for the group's customers in Aerospace, Automotive, Marine, Metals, Petrochemical and Transport industries.
